League Rules

Basic Rules:

All battles are to be OU. You may use lower tiers, but know that the Leaders will be using OU.
You may only challenge a particular Gym Leader once per day. This is to help reduce the workload of the Gym Leaders as they are very busy with the already large amount of challenges.
Only two Gym badges may be won in a single day. This is to prevent a constant change in Champion.
Rounds, as in one round or best two out of three is dependant on the gym leaders wishes.
You must post in the Gym Leader's Challenge Thread to make a challenge. All other challenges will not be counted, and as such you will not win a badge.
[If a user did not have a forum account by the time of obtaining a badge, it did NOT count.]
Gym Logs are to be kept by all Leaders and Challengers.
All illegal and impossible movesets are strictly prohibited. Examples of such are Befriend + Protect and Level 1 Donphan. Use of these types of Pokemon will result in immediate disqualification.

OHKO Clause
Evasion Clause

Disallow Spectators is optional, but encouraged if you don't want your team scouted.



Teambuilding Rules for Challengers:

To prevent counter-teaming, you may only have 2 pokemon of a Super Effective type may be on your team at once.
Do not give every one or almost every of your pokemon a move that will counter the Leader's team, this is the same thing s counter-teaming and is not getting around the above rule.
Counter-teaming can lead to immediate disqualification for that Gym and cause you to be unable to challenge for so much time. You have been warned.

Consequences and Infractions System:

This system is implemented in order to keep things civil. If users cannot obide by these rules, then they shouldn't be priviledged to face our league.

NOTE TO ALL LEADERS; This is a universal infraction system. If someone get's thier first offence to Wes with immature behavior, then does so with me, that counts as a 2nd offence and would be dealt with by the appropriate procedure. Please notify Batl Skard, and if needed Wes or Tails12 about this so it can be accounted for swiftly. [by PM on site]

Immature Behavior: This is just acting plain rude.
1st Offence - Warning
2nd Offence - Match suspended, must wait 24 hours before next battle
3rd Offence - Match suspended, must wait 48 hours before next battle
4th Offence and on - Match suspended, week ban from challenging a spot in the Gym/Elite 4 with record wiped (meaning, you must start all over again, or loose the previous badge, depending on E4/gyms respectively.)

Insulting Trainers/Spectators: Sort of similar to immature behavior but much more serious.
1st Offence - Match Suspended, must wait 24 hours before next battle
2nd Offence - Match Suspended, must wait 48 hours before next battle
3rd Offence and on - Match suspended, week ban from challenging a spot in the Gym/Elite 4 with record wiped

Breaking League and Gym Protocol: The rules.
1st offence: Match suspended; you will wait 24 hours before challenging.
2nd offence: Match suspended, 48 hour ban from a spot in the Gym/Elite 4 with record wiped
3rd offence and on: Match suspended, week ban from a spot in the Gym/Elite 4 with record wiped

Counter teaming: making it more fair.
1st offence: Match suspended; you will wait 24 hours before challenging.
2nd offence: Match suspended, 48 hour ban from challenging a spot in the Gym/Elite 4 with record wiped
3rd offence and on: Match suspended, week ban from challenging a spot in the Gym/Elite 4 with record wiped
